View Full Version : Update on Dottie, Customer Care Manager
Hi folks,
I received an email response from Dottie this morning on an inquiry.
She had a heart attack at work about two weeks ago and is currently working from home. Although she is feeling much better, she does not know when she'll return to the office yet.
This is probably why there has been a lack of response and service@kahr.com email box being full.

I aked a Kahr rep if Dottie was at the ShotSHOW in January and she told me that Dottie's health didn't permit her to travel. I hope Dottie gets better. She *IS* Kahr customer service.

This is unfortunate. I hope she recovers quickly.
I wonder who will be filling her shoes in the meantime?

I agree. it is great to be able to connect a name and repuation to a company, particularly in customer service. Gives you confidenece in the company and it's wares.

Howdy:
I too learned of Dottie being "under the weather" by reading the "mail" thus sent her an get well e-card to Kahr customer service department. I wonder how Dottie would feel receiving many e-cards or get well cards in the mail? Me, I'd feel lots better knowing there are a bunch of Kahr owners that CARE!! (HINT)

Just sent her my best wishes!!

Oh, boy. Until she does recover, customer service there is going to be a nightmare. Somebody said she is customer service and they were not kidding.
Dottie, if you happen to happen to peruse these forums, best wishes for a speedy recovery. :wavey:
I'm not surprised she had a heart attack. Dealing daily with the other people in the office and with irate customers, always suppressing the urge to vent or pop off on somebody must be terribly stressful.
I think I maybe dealt with her via e-mail a couple of times. Minor issues that were corrected quickly and with appropriate attention.
I'm not so sure e-mailing her a bunch of stuff via her Kahr business e-mail account would be the thing if she's working from home. Might make her life a little more difficult if she has to sift through dozens of get well e-mails as well as bonafide service issues. Maybe a moderator could sticky this thread and one person send a link to her so that everybody can express their hopes for a speedy recovery.

Good idea. Some hare may rant and rail at the companies, but we have to respect and applaud employees who go above and beyond for customers. I had three contacts with customer service that were seeking information. In each case I got either an e-mail or phone message from Dottie. Each was kind, courteous and accurate.
Best wishes Dottie from cigarman
I second the idea of a sticky with our best wishes for a fast recovery so a mod can e-mail the link to Dottie.
And even though I've never needed service from Kahr on my P-9, may I add my sincere best wishes for a full and fast recovery.

When I was at the NRA Convention/Exhibits (4/13-15), I went by the Kahr booth (of course) and asked if Dottie came along. The lady just said "no", and dropped the conversation. I thought it was strange the way the Kahr rep moved the conversation in some other direction almost as though Dottie wasn't with Kahr any longer. I told this rep how much everybody on GT loves her. The rep didn't say beans about Dottie's health.
Maybe it was a privacy issue. I can understand that.

Privacy issue or not, that was an extremely rude way to handle the question. Better to say "she wasn't able to make it" or "she's sitting this one out."

The rep may have given me a one-liner, but it was rather evasive. And then she moved on. It is after all, Dottie's business and her call to release info.
I actually just recieved an email from her on Friday the 20th, so I know she was feeling good enough to reply to "new" questions to service@kahr.com at that point!
Hope she's back to 100% soon!

Sent Dottie an "Get Well" email and rec'd this reply
I am so blessed to have customers as kind and caring as mine are. Thank you for your wishes.
My conversations with her have always been positive and I think she gives her customers 100%.
Thanks for the thread, I got a chance to make a nice person feel better:thumbsup:
