Another avatar question

I'm new..Obviously..

I go into User CP and to options and to select an avatar, well what If I want to use my own avatar in the proper size and format, how do I select that option? Am I blind?

The first issue is, as you might have observed from my question, the function to use your own custom avatar doesn't seem to be working correctly right now. I think they're working on it.

You can got to the upload section and click browse to locate your file. It must be 100x100 or smaller and 14000 bytes (14kb) or less. It must also be in .jpg or .gif format.

That was my understanding. I'm sure someone will tell me if I'm wrong.
