Rattling Mags

Sunday I had a strange thing happen. When I loaded my 13 round mags, a couple of the new style mags rattled. Investigating I found that they rattled with 13, or 11 rounds, but not 12. My old mags have never done this.

I have 3 generations of mags, and it only happened with the newest SF compatible mags. They functioned just fine, I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

Yeah this happens on some of my mags as well. Sure is annoying isn't it? Mine funtion fine also..

The newest one I bought rattles. I thought about using it for target practice. It works fine though. I guess I out to keep it.:supergrin:

Hmmm. The two 13 round mags that came with my new G21SF rattle with 12 rounds in them, but not 1 through 11, or 13. Weird.

:upeyes: The follower is hanging up at specific points in the magazine. Suggest you take the mag apart, use a small piece of wood to rub down the insides, and clean the magazine's interior walls. Use it a lot. The spring and follower may wear in.

As a last resort, try what I do as a first resort: Replace all of your Glock factory springs with Wolff Gunsprings. Wolff springs have better tensile strength and are much more consistent than any spring I've, ever, seen come out of the factory. ;)
