I finally found my j-frame -- a gently used m-60 in .357 today.
The only challenge was maintaining my feeling of manhood as I exited the gunstore carrying a mauve "purse" which had Ladysmith emblazoned all over it.

Looks to be in excellent shape. Great find. :patriot:

If you can't recover your manhood, I'll give ya' $100 for it, just so you can get back to normal. I like the 60 you have. I would love to find a 65-5 Lady Smith.

They build all those fine revolvers and then put "lady" on them. I bought my wife one and it was slick...the mod 36 that is!
I have a model 60 LadySmith that I bought for my wife and she hates it. I really like it and shoot it quite a bit, the one I have has a different set of grips on it, but basically the same firearm. I don't like the "LadySmith" on the side, but hey its not that bad. If I ever decide to get it refinished all the writing will be gone.
That's one thing I dislike about Smith and Wesson firearms, too much writing all over the dang thing.
My next smith with either be a model 60 with a 3" barrel or a model 686plus with a 4" barrel, haven't decided.

Just bought a 36LS, very sweet gun. I tried quite a few J frames and the Lady was the one I took home. Nothing wrong with a guy taking a lady home is there??
I think S&W would sell alot more without the Ladysmith designation.

If the Lady Smith bothers y'all so much, it is relatively easy to buff off. Go to the Smith and Wesson forum and do a search.

As long as you don't continue to carry it in a purse, I think you'll be alright. Congratulations on the find. I just decided on an M&P 340 myself. Good luck and good shooting.
That's for your wife right?! :eyebrow: If not, either have that taken off and burn the purse or turn in your "man card". Can't have both.

Hi grayelky,
We've got a very nice 65-5 Lady Smith but I'm afraid if I were to try parting with it........I'd be the one worried about my manhood. (Wife peering over my shoulder frowning and playing with her folding knife.) ;)
By the way bulwaagh, nice Model 60LS you have there!
