So even though my fail-to-fire issues were probably hard primers (or limp wristing or something), does anyone ever put a stronger firing pin spring in there to make it hit harder? Do they make a better aftermarket spring or pin? Would a stronger spring or different pin affect the overall action of the gun?

Finally, if it is feasible, any recommendations as to what to get to make the pin hit a bit harder? New spring, pin, or just stretch out the one it came with a bit?

It's probably nothing, but I had 6-7 WWB FTFs that went off after two or three attempts--were indented, though less than normal, and supposedly they were recessed a bit too--then tonight I had a really good brand (either federal PD Hydrashok or remington GS HP) give me one FTF that went off once I reset the trigger (i forgot to check the primer). So i'm just being cautious and looking at my options.

honestly, I think it's the ammo. stetching the spring will only weaken it and cause future problems. not sure if anyone makes new pins, but I wouldn't worry about replacement until yours is broken. I would take any rounds that FTF and look at the primers, WWB is cheap and sometimes you'll get a couple with hard primers.

I had the same issue with Blaser (I know, it sucks). 90% of the rounds didn't ignite in my PM9. I will note that it seems the stiker is kinda short on these guns.

I sent back a P45 for 20% fail to fire-light strikes, when I stripped the upper for cleaning I noticed their solution was to remove material from the shoulder below the pin allowing more pin to project from the slide

Hrmmm. Yeah, though I do think it had something to do with the ammo, the fact is, I've never had a light-strike in my life wiith my old G19 or the G23...so perhaps these just don't hit quite as hard. For now, I'm just going to clean the pin/spring/hole and use really good ammo.
