I just picked up a glock 21, and was looking for more mags. I found that botach is selling them for $15 each for the hicaps, and they have free shipping on orders over $100. has anyone here bought from them, and if so was it a good or bad expierience? thanks in advance.

I order from them, they told my G17 mags where backorderd after the already took the money out of my account. After I found this out they could not even tell me when they would get them . They where rude in there email replys. Also I am still trying to return a belt from that order!!! I will not order again from them- I dont care what price the offer. After 2weeks I switched the order to G19 mags

If you catch stuff on their sale offers, I've had fast response (product is in stock).
I did have one product which was on a backorder and it took a month to arrive. But, I was happy because the price was a super deal.
Others on this board have had terrible experiences.

I just bought 6 magazines from them. Shipping was free and arrived in about a week. I didn't know about all of the negative feedback until after I ordered. I guess I got lucky.

My first 2 orders were fine. After that it sucked. Will never use again. I tried for weeks to get an email response. Never happened.

4/13 - Placed an order
4/18 - Their site still said "order is pending review"
4/18 - Sent an email and tried calling throughout the day
4/19 - Tried calling throughout the day
4/20 - Sent another email and more calls
4/23 - Received an email that they had problems due to verifying my address, which was correct
4/23 - I emailed back to confirm address and said "Fine, but when will this ship?"
4/23 - Received a 2nd email that she got my email and will process the order "tomorrow"
4/25 - Online order status still shows same pending review status. Sent another email asking for update and status.
By the way, when you call them, DO expect to get voicemail and never a person.
They are somewhat a black hole in my experience so far. On the up-side: the prices are good on some items and no money has been withdrawn so far. Another down-side besides the frustration: I'd say you might find it difficult to cancel an order with them if you can't reach them.
I have and its a temperamental thing. customer service is lousy,
prices are good. professionalism is in the toilet.

He once posted the credit card number, home address, email and telephone number of a customer who complained about him on AR-15.com.
So think twice before you complain about him on here. He might give your personal info to every hacker he can find.

Thanks for the heads-up Minuteman.
While it is nice to see how there are customer-oriented vendors out there who read and provide advice and offer help (LoneWolf or CGR to name a couple) it is sad to hear that others could be trolls and even contribute to identity theft (name withheld). That is a shame to hear - but I hope it is a mistake.

They are now the best company ever.
Here is my experience with them(Decided to try for myself, since they were cheap).
4/26 12:06- Sent E-Mail to StockCheck@botachtactical.net, inquiring about availability of magazines for several models, as well as trijicons for my new G17C.
4/26 12:12- Recieved nearly immidiant response, stating specifically what they were backordered on(G17-17rds, G18-33rds,G20-15rds), but that everything else I wanted was immidiantly available for shipping!!!
4/26 12:19- Based on the immidiancy of the stockcheck response, felt comfortable enough to go ahead and place order online.
4/26 12:12- Recieved a confirmation e-mail of the order, which included a link to a "status check"
4/26 7:43- Received a comfirmation e-mail that my order had shipped, which again included the "status" link, which this time included a button to UPS's tracking system. Hit the link, to confirm tracking:
Package is scheduled to deliver on May 2nd.
Now , if the shipment arrives ontime and complete, I would honestly have to conclude that the experience has been one of my BEST online purchases to date, since I went from inquiring on inventory availability, to shipped in little over 7 hours!!!
I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Just to add something not negative ..
So while I'm sitting here reading the updated post a bit ago, I called and left a voicemail for Botach. 2 minutes later the phone rang and it was them. Turns out that one item is on backorder (possibly 2-3 weeks) and they can ship the other item out. So, I'm making progress and just wanted to add that they did get back to me and were very pleasant on the phone.
I've had good results with them. I just ordered a couple of things from them yesterday, so I hope the streak stays alive.

I had a very, very similar experience as well. I had to flood their e-mail to get a response and cancel my order. I'll pass them and gladly give my moola to CDNN:

This post must have jinxed me. My first experience was terrible but I gave them a second chance. I have placed about 5 orders with them since with no problems but this last one is turning into a mess. :sad:

I am having what seems to be having the same problems as others. I placed an order on Feb 18th for a BlackHawk Hydrastorm Pack, but have yet to receive anything. I can't even as much get a call back.
Does anyone have a direct number to a manager or someone in the upper staff?

You are allowed to grovel thru proper channels. Any attempt to pester them or complain on an internet web site will probably lead to retaliation by said "company":
Including but not limited to:
1)Keeping your money- delivering nothing, ever.
2)Repeat and additional charges for "PITA" fee's.
3)Posting your private info, including credit card numbers, name/adreess, etc, on various web sites- including known hacker sites.
4)Delivering far inferiour product than advertised.
... but don't take our word for it... or the hundreds of posts you would turn up if you did a google search...
...go ahead and give them your money and personal info and find out...

just got in 7 G17 mags, perfect, brand new and they shipped free because I spent over $100.00. This is probably the 10th order from them. Only one hiccup. They sent me a extended slide stop lever for the wrong model. I called them and they sent me the right one and said to keep the other! No complaints from me.
I think Botach can be summed up this way......If they have it in stock, they are great. If not in stock, they will charge you shipping on the partial shipment even if the total was over $100.00, then they will charge you shipping again for the back-ordered items. When you inquire by email they will ignore you. When you look for a telephone number you will not find one. The last time I looked they didn't have one anywhere to be found. When I made the comment to them "that most businesses the world over have a telephone number, can I have yours?" they ignored me again.

Did you check if they were in stock before you ordered? Everybody is having trouble getting G17 and G18 mags right now.
I think the biggest problem is that their website is not tied to any real time stock report. Therefore, the automated system will take any order. However, if you click on the "contact" tab, they have an e-mail address where you can get an idea of what is in stock, prior to ordering. They got back to me in 6 minutes, when I contacted them about inventory levels.

I ordered some flashlights and a stepladder a few years ago "in stock" flashlights arrived right away, ladder took months with no customer service. I saved a few $ but wasted a lot of time.
They just recently started sending emails again, so maybe they have cleaned up their act.

WOW!! I ordered three G17 mags two days after the VT shooting ( 4/18 ? ) and I received my mags on 5/2. I did have to call them to see why I received a shipping confirmation but after several days the tracking # only showed billing info received.. From now on I think I will go through CDNN ( A+++ customer service ) or try someone different.

I've placed probably three orders from them with no problems. One of the orders was for batteries. One was for a couple of small pelican cases. The third was for some handcuffs.
My recent order for G18 magazines went off without a hitch. I have just sent in another order and am waiting. Will report how things go.

Well they shipped the wrong thing- after I specificly called and inquired about the availability of what I wanted, which they assured me was in stock, in broken Spanglais. They shipped me a substitute. F them. Never again.:steamed:

Let me guess. The "substitute" would be cheaper than what you really wanted, right?
They make that "mistake" so often it seems to be a buisness practice, not a mistake.
These guys are a great example of "Bad Reputation".

Very much so. I hesitate to even try to call them tomorrow, because I know I will either get A- the run around, or B- the run around from someone who doesn't speak english. Oh well, live and learn.
My second order of Glock 18 magazines arrived Friday afternoon. No problems encountered with Botach.
Well I just got my 11 glock mags !!! :thumbsup: :banana:
I knew when I called they were out of G17 mags so ... I had alittle wait .
They also let me order some more at the same price , at the time they were $15.00 a mag and as I was waiting they jumped up to $17.00 a piece .
Yup ....I'm happy !:banana:
