View Full Version : Glock spare parts for a rainy day?
Hello all, I have several glocks and love them! Haven't shot them much because I've been concentrating on rifle stuff. I'm getting into reloading and have plans to start training with my Glocks soon. My question is what parts fail on glocks over time? What should I stock up on now that they are readily available? And lastly where do you reccomend I buy these from??
Thanks
Mostly just the springs, and maybe a spare guide-rod.
More magazine springs are good to have too.
I appreciate the advice TimP. Do any of you have any favorite places to purchase Glock parts and accessories from?
Thanks

I've had these parts break on me:
1-Slide lock spring
2-Trigger spring
3-Frame pin
When the slide lockspring broke, the slide lock went bye bye.
I've also had some mag springs go soft, and have replaced some recoil assemblies.

Slidelock springs and slidelocks.
Extra f/p springs.
Trigger springs, or NY1 springs.
Recoil spring/guiderod assemblies.
F/P spring cups(they never wear out, but are VERY easily lost).
Spare connectors(for those rainy days when you want to experiment with your trigger pull).
I'm sorry for the ever so slight hyjack, but it IS somewhat related. For parts suppliers, do you guys know where I could pick up new factory slides? I'm looking to set up an entirely new slide w/some different sights... I'm not happy with the XS express sights I put on my 19, but I want to keep them in case I want to give another try. Hence, I'd like to just switch out the entire assembly. Thanks.
I appreciate your imput guys. It's amazing how much info one can find if he just looks in the right places!
Thanks again,
John
