Is there a way to do a poll?

On some forums one can run a poll... people can select a choice and then it displays a numerical breakdown...

Does GT have such an option?

Because of past misuse of this function, it was turned off by the site owner. For a while, it seemed like every second or third thread was a poll, and the majority of them were rather silly (1000 different variations on "Ginger or Mary Anne", polls about polls, etc; darned annoying).

However, if you want to run a poll, usually if you PM the Moderator of the forum where you want to run it (or an Admin if that forum has no Mod), they'll be happy to set it up and start the thread for you. Make sure to tell them the subject/question and each choice you want listed, in order. Moderators are listed at the top of each forum page.

Thanks DJ Niner. Very helpful. And, I can understand the reason for not allowing the function for general availability. It does seem things could get out of hand.
