Wolf has a new 7.62x25mm jacketed hollowpoint in the "Wolf Gold" line (brass-cased, non-corrosive, better quality ammo than their standard steel-cased stuff).

Anyone tried this out yet? It looks like it could be good fun out of a CZ52 pistol. An 85 grain hollowpoint bullet at 1600 feet per second? Seems like watermelons and milk jugs will sit up and take notice.

I've shot some of it. It only chronoed about 1500 fps out of my CZ52. I shot one into water jugs...very impressive reaction, but I didn't recover the slug.

Only? Sounds right to me.

The 85 grain XTP at 1500+ is a devastating hit. I've taken a few varmints with this combo, and it is impressive. I haven't run any of the Wolf through my CZ or Tokarev, and at those pressures they won't be tried in my Broomhandle. This caliber is a natural for expanding bullets--some of the old Hornady limited production 86 grain soft points for the 30 Mauser did well on jackrabbits for me.

I just order some of these. I would love to see some pics/stats on these rounds.
