I am only aware of 165 and 180 grain HST loads. I have not heard of the 155 grain version. Are you sure you got the weight correct.

Federal loads a 155,165 and 180 in the HST line. It is in their Law Enforcement catalog for 2007. Not sure if it on the dealers shelves as I have never seen it.

We have 155gr Federal Classic marked Training Ammunition Only. It uses a brass casing and not a nickel plated one presumably because it was made to be practiced with and the primary advantage of the nickel is corrosion resistance. The bullet itself is identical to the HST and I enjoy shooting it. That said, I prefer 180gr.

I doubt the bullet is identical to the HST that would be an expensive choice for training ammunition.

As unusual as it sounds, a guy used a puller or something (I am no reloading expert) and found it to be the same bullet in a 155 gr.

When HST first came out it was in the Federal Classic line. Since they had problems it was sold as training ammo.

When they put it back on the market it was under the Premium line. Now they placed it under the Tactical Line to remind dealers that it is for LE use only.

Excellent defensive ammo. It's a reliable hinge-buster if you do your part.

What type of "problems" did this ammo have?

They looked good in jello but not in denim.
