View Full Version : Can you remove the Agrip?
I've seen a few people with the Agrip and after putting about 180 rounds through my new (to me) PM9 I decided to order one last night. How easy is it to remove should I not like it? It's kind of like a sticky backed material, right? So if I peel it off there might be residue left over. Has anyone had to/wanted to remove theirs?
I like the appearance and performance of the pistol now, but the extra comfort would be nice for range sessions. I just don't want to apply it, end up not liking it and not be able to remove it for some reason.
Thanks in advanced.
(Oh and here are some obligatory pictures since I'm a new member. )

Very nice pics. I have no personal experience with agrip, but I might try one out.
From the manufacturer's website (http://www.brookstactical.com):
AGrip sticks on easily with a special ultra high tech pressure sensitive adhesive. It will not peel off unless you want it to, and if you do... it will peel right off most nonporous surfaces, clean and easy, without solvents, and without leaving any messy adhesive residue, even years later.
AGrip is very forgiving allowing itself to be peeled back and repositioned repeatedly for easy installation. When rubbed down hard, AGrip stays put, and will not shift, twist, or move, even in hot, humid, wet weather, making it perfect for everyday law enforcement use where an officer might have to reliably draw, retain, and fire a weapon in adverse conditons with zero room for failure.

Thanks! I never thought to look on their website.

As far as I know, Brook, the owner of the company, hangs out here on GT, or at least he used to!! If he sees this I would not be surprised to see him answer this directly!!

This is 100% accurate and correct info. I have an Agrip on my PM9, as well as several other of my glocks. From my own experience you can apply the Agrip to your PM9 and if for some reason you are not happy with the fit the first try, you can simply remove it and start all over again. Of course I would not do this over and over again and expect the adhesive to do it's job 100%... but if it took you 2-3 times to get your Agrip positioned properly, then I would say you would be just fine. When you remove an Agrip there is no residue that is left behind, so you can rest assured that your PM9 will still look exactly like it does right now before it has been applied.
Trust me when I say that you're going to Love the Agrip once you get it....and even more so after you take it to the range for the first time with it on. My fiancee hated to shoot my PM9 before I put an Agrip on it.... but now she finds it a delight to shoot with the Agrip on it. The Agrip really makes the gun "stick" in your hands... it does wonders for polymer guns...which I find usually move around a lot in my hands.
How does the A-Grip work on the Glocks with the finger grooves? Does it work down in between the grooves ok? I am very interested in putting it on my G-21. Thanks

Scott,
I've used the Agrip on both 2nd and 3rd generation Glocks and have had no problems or issues. The Agrip conforms around the finger grooves on the 3rd generations Glocks. Hope this helps.

I put the Agrips on my TP9 because my didn't much like the rough feel of the Kahr factory grip. I put it on one evening with only minor peeling and regriping. NO residue at that time, and I doubt I will ever voluntarily find out if there is residue now. It feels so good in the hand, I will never take it off, and my wife would'nt let me even if I wanted to. It will go on my future polymer pistols as well, and maybe on non-polymers also.
It is like a custom grip without the price tag. You'll not be sorry.

I agree with these guys. I was a bit skeptical but put one on my PM9. It adhered well and conformed to the grip. I later wanted to try a sleeve with a clip on it for carry and removed it and put it on my TP9. No residue.
Later when I removed the sleeve from the PM9, I took the agrip off the TP9 and put it back on the PM9. No residue and it fit the PM9 like I just put it on.
I would give my wholehearted recommendation for the Agrip.

I like it very much. My Kahr will always have agrips on it.
Has anyone noticed any trouble drawing/presenting with the Agrip on?
