View Full Version : Front sight is broken: Local gunsmith or ship to Kahr?
The darndest thing happened to my PM9 today: The front sight broke off in the middle of shooting. No, I didn't bang it on anything. Towards the end of my range session, I brought the gun up to eye level, and found that the front sight had broken off. Weird...
Anyway, here's my question: Should I send this gun back to Kahr to have a new sight installed? Or is this something that a local gunsmith might be able to fix?
Thanks in advance for the advice,
TMann

I would contact Dottie and she'll probably have you send in just the slide for a warranty repair.
Why pay a GS if it was defective?

Thanks for the contact info. I'll try to get a hold of the folks at Kahr this week. BTW, I heard that Dottie had been ill earlier this month and that it was hard to get a hold of anyone at Kahr. Is that still the case?

Dottie must be back, as she has answered all of my e-mails within a few days (I'm going to send my MK9 slide up to have nightsights put on.)

How much to upgrade to the nightsights?
