new p9

I have a p9 on order from buds gun's and just want to say, I cant wait to get the gun in my hands! Its comming with night sights and 2 7even round mags. I will order 2 8 round mags w/ grip ext's and a stainless steel guide rod. I also plan on haveing the trigger smoothed and lightened to 5 pounds. I will probably call
Dotti and request one of those newer style slide catches that hold the mags better and are harder to release. If they have a new style slide lock I might get one of those too because I might not like that sharp edge. I will be carring in a smartcarry at 12'oclock. I also ordered and recived 100 ronds of Federal 147 gr. HST's. This will become my main carry replacing my glock 23. ;)

Good decision!

I have the CW9 and couldn't be happier with its performance with about 750 rounds through it.

My only problem is that I am a die hard 1911 man and have some difficulty with the long trigger pull (compared to a 1911). I can shoot the Kahr accurately but I must concentrate. I shoot my .45 accurately with much greater ease. I also am uncomfortable with carry a round in the chamber because of the lack of manual safety. Again, thats a direct issue of being a 1911 guy. I realize revolver have been around for centuries and lack such safteies, but I've never owned a revolver either.

My problem is that no one makes a mini 1911 style carry gun that is chambered in a serious caliber. I know there are lots of 3 1/2 inch "ultra" size 1911's but none seem to be very reliable. We need KAHR to make a poly framed, single action 1911 thats accurate, reliable, affordable and has the manual safeties.

I'd be the first in line for such a weapon.
