Question?????

My Nephew a LEO here in Ohio was sent on a call to a widows house whose husband just died last month. The widow wanted a box of ammo removed from the house that belonged to her husband. My Nephew called and said it was 45 acp FMJ 1000 rounds and ask if I wanted it...........Uh....yea so he brought to me. I is in a military ammo box and has 20 boxes of 50 count 45 inside. My question.... could this ammo be danngerous to shoot? Each box is a plain colored cardboad box with the words as follows

50 CARTRIDGES

CALIBER .45

BALL M1911

LOT WCC-2- THEN ASTAMPED ON EACH BOX.

Does anyone reconize this type of ammo ?...........if so please let me know if you think it is safe.

Nope I would not recommend shooting that ammo. As a matter of fact, send it to me for proper disposal….



Just kidding. Sounds like some Winchester plain box ammo. It should be good to shoot!

It's probably very good shooting ammo, but it depends some on it's age. What's the headstamp on the cartridges? It is probaby 'WCC' and a number.

Would that be WCC 70? Like the one's in my pictures are 'WCC 76'.

'07' would be WAYYYY to new....

Anyway, WCC 70 would be great shooting ammo! Not a thing wrong with it, great brass for reloading too (after you get the primer crimp removed).

WCC-on the top curve
70-on the bottom. i was just reading it all around the circle i guess. Does that mean 1970 wow that would be 37 years old! is this still good? Can my G-21 handle it?
