What ever happened to the .40 super, Didn't someone about 10 years ago take the 45ACP and neck it down to a .40, The ballistics data i read on it were pretty impressive? It would be a interesting conversion barrel for the G-30.

I haven't heard much about the 40 super lately. Talk to Dan at LWD about the 40 super, I think those guys are into it. Not sure who is making conv. barrels.

Have you considered the 400 corbon? I always liked the .400 corbon which is similar the 40 super although I dont think the ballistics can compare. I had a conversion barrel for a G21 years ago for the 400 corbon and lost interest.

.45 ACP necked down to .40 is known as the .400 CorBon. The .40 Super is a shortened and necked down .45 Winchester Magnum, and it's pretty serious business.

There really is no comparison between the top loads for the 10mm and any .357 variant.

The 10mm was designed and does equal/surpass the ballistics and performance of the .41 magnum.

It's true that most loads for the 10mm are loaded down to the standard .40 cal specs, but you can still find factory loads that are over 700+ FT/LBS of energy.

If you are asking for which caliber is the best in terms of a self defense or hunting, there is no question.
