View Full Version : Advantage arms 22 conversion question
Is the advantage arms 22 conversion kit considered gun parts or gun accesories? just wondering what the classification would be and if it would be ok to ship one to a friend in Canada, thanks

The US does not consider the AA unit a firearm, but I don't know about Canada.
Do you already own it and want to send it to him?
You might check with the folks that sell it and see if they sell to folks in Canada.

No way I would try shipping something firearms related out of the country without legal advice. You don't want to take the chance of a felony arrest and no more guns. Like posted earlier, don't take internet advice on an issue that may or may not be serious.

The law in the US doesn't break it down to that resolution. It's either a gun or it's not. In the case of the AA conversion, it's not.

Canada? I don't think this is the place for legal advice regarding Canada.
You could ship it to somebody in the States as it is not a firearm (only the receiver is), but in Canada....I have no idea.
I would, as stated above, contact a professional...
A quick Google Search found this page:

I think it answers most of your questions. It doesn't look illegal, but you may need an export permit.
