After looking long and hard for something smaller and slimmer to carry than my G26, I decided on the Kahr PM9. Bought one and took it to the range today, and things were going perfect. Nice, easy to shoot and wow, surprisingly accurate!
Then, all of a sudden, after 91 successful rounds, every shot after that would fail to reset the trigger properly. I found out that pulling the slide back about 1/2" would reset it, allowing it to fire again. But I had to manually reset this trigger after every single shot! Every time... no matter what mag, no matter how many rounds in the mag, and no matter what ammo. I even disassembled and cleaned it right there, but the problem persisted.
So I came home, searched the forum, and found LostnLA's post (http://glocktalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=672407) about a burr being a problem. I looked at my PM9, and sure enough, there was not only a burr... there were 2 burrs -- on both sides of that notch. I carefully removed the burrs, went back to the range, and fired 200 rounds in a row, no problems. I'll send 200 more through it soon just to make sure, but it seems that problem is fixed.
