This was a used gun with a steel guide rod and a Seattle brass plug. I've never shot a stock G35 so I'm not sure how much difference the mods made, but I was blown away by the difference between the 35 and my 23. Using the same ammo there was a world of difference in felt recoil and accuracy. The G35 made the .40 feel like a 9mm, and created one big hole in a target, albeit a slightly different POI than my 23. Any comments from the G35 peanut gallery?

The G35 kicks arse. It's almost the only handgun I shoot any more.

I have a similar setup on my Glock 35, except that I have a tungsten guide rod and Taylor Freelance mag bases. The best change I found was warren tactical sights with the fiber optic front post. I thought it was a fairly soft shooter until I tried my buddy's stock Glock 17. Now I'm in a dilemma between purchasing the reloading setup for light .40 rounds, or buying a stock G17.

The G35 is a sweet sweet gun. I don't have much experience with other models and after owning this one, I don't see any reason to.
