Which Handgun?

Not quite sure if i should post this here or not (feel free to move if need be)

but i am asking on behalf of my "lady friend" / newbie to the entire world of handguns.

i took her to the range a few times and has shot a SIG .380 and my G23 .40sw, she is hooked and wants to start shooting as a hobby and self defense

she did particularly better with the .380 but she is more concerned about comfort and then recoil

any suggestions on which handgun she can start off with for the range and home defense would be greatly appreciated

take her to a range where she can rent a bunch of different guns that are appropriate for self-defense/CCW. She'll find favorites, and most-hateds. That's a place to start. Also, make sure she is aware of how she would carry them... some lend themselves to CCW better than others. Accuracy, comfort, conceal-ability...

If she liked the feel of your G23 except for recoil, she might try a G19/26. :)
