Can anyone give any information on this model S&W? I had to take it away from my dad when he developed Alzheimer’s / Dementia.

It looks like you have found an old S&W M&P, and yes, it's *very* pre-1945. It looks like a Model 1902. Your serial number of 35913 falls in the Military & Police of 1902, 1st change. Serial range was 33804-62449 (28,645 manufactured) between 1903 - 1904. If you choose to shoot it, please stick with standard pressure ammo, as its cylinder is not heat-treated.
