The title says it all. I am thinking of making my K9 my main carry for the summer and am looking for input on IWBs.

I've always been a Don Hume guy. I buy a lot of Galco holsters too because the local shop carries them. I recently bought this Galco UDC290. It's a tuckable model and it's pretty comfortable even sitting. Of course it fits the K9 like a Glove.

I swear I was just going to ask about the very same holster.

It seems that this and the Don Hume are the best bang for the buck.

I personally prefer Kydex holsters over leather. For an excellent kydex holster I recomment the Comp-Tac C-TAC for 3:30 to 4:30 carry, or the new Comp-Tac appendix carry holster for A-IWB.

I can't say enough about the quality and fit of my Sparks Versa-Max. I also used an IWB holster from Alessi with my K9 for years. I have had holsters from Sparks, Alessi, and Kramer (among others) - and consider these makers to be top-rate.

I like kydex holsters for some things - but not for concealed-carry. Even under clothing, kydex makes a distinctive noise when bumped against hard surfaces such as door frames, counter tops, etc... Leather tends to muffle the sound of impact.

I agree with you about Kydex. I also don't like the way it feels against my skin, it's just too unatural for my liking.

Most of the selections apply to the K9 also.

I bought this for my K9 for $30 bucks or so. I like it for the money (I have nothing else to compare it do). It fit pretty well. When I got my P45, I wet molded the holster to it, now it fits my P45 like a glove!

I will end up getting another holster made, but I needed something for the 6 month lead time some holster makers have!

I carry my P9 in a Milt Sparks Watch Six it is very similar to the VM II but it is thinner and not reinforced at the top.
It is very comfortable!

I use a nice Alessi IWB for my K9, which I bought used from another GT member. It works very well and is a high quality holster.

I've got an Alessi WSDT for my K9. The workmanship is excellent and it's extremely stable and comfortable. Highly recommended.
