What sort of reputation does this companies products have? I am going to have a 3.5 connector installed soon. After reading this board I had decided on a Ghost Rocket 3.5. My local gun shop sells Scherer connectors. Should I pass and buy the Ghost or is this connector as good?

the ghost is a better quality product, i believe they also polish up their parts to make them nice and slick

:) With the Ghost Rocket you can get a built-in trigger stop, too. Not that hard to setup and very nice to have! ;)
I presume you've already read this:

Never dealt with Scherer, but will vouch for Ghost Inc. I've used both the 3.5 and the 3.5 Rocket.

I like the Scherer 3.5 connector. I've got them in my 34 and 2 35's. Pretty close to the Glock OEM. Just feels the best to me.
The Scherer connector is way better than the Ghost. I will not install a Ghost in a customer's gun. If they just have to have a Ghost I send them somewhere else.

 Hey! Are we really being fair? You don't have to spend that many months on GT before you realize that every aftermarket manufacturer has had, or presently has, problems with some of their Glock connectors.
The Glock factory isn't immune, either! I had a Glock 3.5# connector - straight from the factory - that caused my pistol to fire full auto bursts! I immediately removed it from my Glock and began making phone calls to everyone. I was told the factory admits to something less than 1% of their connectors being faulty.
(What's less than 1% of a couple millon?)
Personally, I think the truth is that there are a lot of good, fully functional, connectors out there from: Lone Wolf, Scherer, Ghost, and the Glock factory, too. Everybody's had some stinkeroos. Right now I'm running two #3.5 connectors from Lone Wolf and the factory. Both are flawless; the new LWD, however, produces a slightly lighter pull.
I wouldn't lose any sleep over having a Ghost Rocket in my Glock; I know of plenty of people who do; and their Glocks work just fine. ;)

I just got off the phone with my gunsmith. He has installed several Ghost Rockets and says he hasn't had any problems and the customers like them

Though I prefer the LW 3.5 as far as 3.5 connectors are concerned (gives a slightly lighter break than the competition), I have used Ghost connectors in my Glocks, fired thousands of rounds with them, and have had no problems whatsoever. If there is something inherently wrong with the Ghost I am not aware of it and simply saying that they are not good begs for amplification. No offense intended.
Amp on - The Ghost has to be fitted. None of the others have to. The Ghost has a heavier pull. I have 4 competition Glocks - 2 G35 and 2 G34. I have 3 Ghost connectors. Each of them will cause all 4 Glocks to double.
BTW before anyone says I don't know how to make a Ghost work here's a small reminder. I have installed hundreds of connectors. I can get a Glock trigger down to a 1 lb. pull. I don't like anything about a Ghost connector.
I would use a stock 5 lb Glock connector rather than a 3.5 Ghost.

Skip the Scherer and get the Lone Wolf. :)
The reality is that this is very much of a Ford/Chevy debate. The differences between one brand and the other is often subjective and tolerances/functionality can vary within the same brand.
Bottom line, there is not a whole lot of difference between any of the drop-in 3.5# connectors though I give the edge currently to the Lone Wolf as it produces a slightly lighter break - at least that has been my experience. As to the difference between the OEM and the Scherer? Negligible at best. Both are perfectly adequate and I would be confident with either in my gun - for the range or for carry. Ditto for the Lone Wolf and the Ghosts that I have used (all my Ghost drop-in connectors have been exactly that - drop-in, no fitting required).
I am not a retailer, manufacturer, distributor, etc. so I don't care what the h--l you get. :hugs: 'Just a shooter like you.
Nuther vote for LoneWolf here...
Like the Scherer, the Ghost is okay but tough to install right..
For the price the Lone Wolf *Next Gen* 3.5Lb connector rocks... rocks even better with a TriggerKit.com Kit! Of course that make the trigger closer to $100 though.. and No Way I would carry the TriggerKit.com kit in a concealed pistol...
