Whats the general consensus on the Scherer 3.5# connectors? I heard they actually lighten the pull moreso than the factory Glock 3.5# connectors. How's the reliability? Has anyone here had any problems with these? Would you recommend these for a home defense pistol?

Tango, I don't mean to be rude but there must a million posts and threads on this subject that are accessible via the search function. Bottom line, there is virtually zero detectable difference between the Scherer and the OEM from my experience (personally I prefer the Lone Wolf 3.5 connector over both of them).
Many Glock owners use a 3.5 connector in their carry/HD Glocks, others prefer for added safety and legal concerns, the heavier stock 5.5# connector. Keep in mind just switching to a 3.5 pound connector without making any other parts changes, i.e., springs does not result in a 3.5 pound trigger but closer to a 4.5 pound trigger that IMHO is perfectly acceptable in a carry and/or home defense weapon - Glock or any other gun. Just my 2 cents. Rule No. 1 - keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to fire and make damn sure you are within your legal rights to exercise deadly force in the first place.
