Two weeks ago I ordered a standard sight set for my MK9.
The next day, I got this e-mail:
Thank you for your recent on-line order. We appreciate your business.
Please allow 3-4 weeks delivery time for your orders.
Can somebody tell me why in this day and age it takes 3-4 weeks to get something shipped from a company??
Does this mean they are going to take all this time just to process my order or is it gonna take that long for it to get here once they finally ship??
Everything I have ordered on line was shipped the next day and arrived within a week, depending on where it came from!!
SHEESH!!!
Yeah, it seems a little long in this day and age. It seems they say that about everything in thier "shop" When I first thought of their holsters, I believe it said 3 to 4 weeks. Maybe they don't have anybody just dedicated to orders,......or something worse :sad:

Same here, I ordered a set of Meps. for my PM40 on Apr.5. Called yesterday and was told that they didn't even have them in stock, good luck.

Do you have the "old style" or "new style" slide? I have some standard sights from the "old style" slide that I could mail to you.

I always wondered too. It seems to me they aren't really setup for much on-line business, nor do they stock many of of the parts listed. If you want parts that come with their guns (magazines, night sights) I've found those arrive within 7-10 business days.
I've also found that calling them up seems to accelerate order fulfillment. I get the impression it's "part of" someone's job description, but they might only "get around to it" every other week or so. When I've called, each time it's been "it's going out tomorrow" or "this week" and then it arrives shortly thereafter.

Perhaps that's just a 'pat' reply encompassing the extreme outer range of typical response. When we special order at my company, we always say at least 10-business days. When it gets here in less than a week, then the customer's much happier than the reverse.:)

Then again, why the ****** does a company who MAKES THEIR OWN PARTS not have any in stock?
Sounds to me like Kahr has a very incompetent management team. Does anyone think if one of Kahrs parts making eqipment went down they'd wait 3-4 weeks for THEIR vendor to get that production line back up?
Not a chance in hell. They'd call someone else.
I have had no issues with my Kahr and love it, but there is no excuse for a manufacterer not stocking some parts other than some pencil pushing jerk off saving a few bucks on inventory at customer expense.

Hmm...that's not good. I just sent off my slide to have some Mepro's installed. Maybe I'll call them back to see what they have in stock right now...

Well.
It seems that maybe, just maybe, someone from Kahr trolls this forum!!
After only about two weeks now, my sights are on their way!!
This is a good thing.
However, it does not explain why it should have taken so long in the first place!! My order went in on 19Apr and and today I got word that they have shipped. It's gonna take till Monday to get them!!
It seems to me that a company who has parts on hand could get them out just a wee bit faster!!
Now, I hope they send me the right sights!!

They are trolling the forum, which is good news!
Sorry, I would have given you my old sights if you had the "old style" slide....but it sounds like Kahr has it covered.

On the 9th of May I placed an order. I got in on their "Cheap hat" sale, which is their Embroderied(sp) KAHR hat, plus a new recoil spring and 4 new grip screws....It arrived yesterday about 6:00pm by FedEx. Nine days isn't too shabby, and of course they didn't bill my credit card till they shipped the order. I'm happy with that kind of service.

I ordered a pair of hats, trigger locks and a box on the 7th and then a MK9 recoil assembly on the 11th. I'll let you know when they get here.
It is a shame that no 2nd party has jumped on the bandwagon with parts. They would do well.
I would have thought you would have your parts quicker then me, all the way here in Kansas?...considering your distance and my distance.

My own recent experience: I had to send the slide of my PM9 back because of a broken front sight. I sent the slide back at the beginning of this month; it arrived on May 5. I received it back with the new Mepro's I ordered on May 16. This included a return phone call from Dottie to resolve a credit card issue.
I can't imagine that any other company would do much better for me. No complaints here. :thumbsup:
