If you carry mag in pants pocket, how do you carry keys, wallet etc. It would seem the other side pocket would be way overloaded. Do you use a mag cover and, if so, leather or kydex.

For my newly acquired MK40, I'm thinking about just folding over a piece of leather and hand sewing the bottom and side. It would be a little slip on covering for the magazine that'd keep out dirt, lint, and dust while in the pocket.....should work out ok in the same pocket with keys, change, etc.

This is just theory right now, as I haven't done it yet.

My extra mag goes in the front left pocket...with my chapstick and nail clippers.

Keys go in the front right pocket, as does loose change.

Balances out nicely that way.

All of my pocket pistols are carried with an extra magazine in the opposite pocket -- in a magazine sleeve. Leather by R.J. Hedley at www.hedleyholsters.com

I carry my spare MK9 mag (an 8 rounder these days) in a Kramer Leather pocket carrier. The only other thing that goes in that pocket (offside front) is my wallet. I have practiced drawing the magazine from with my wallet in the pocket and am now used to it.

CW9 on left hip (Lefty, duh)

Keys in L/F pocket
Wallet in L/R

If I'm carrying un-tucked in a Comp-Tac adjustable-cant paddle, I made myself a kydex mag carrier for my belt that goes on the right hip.

If I'm carrying tucked with a Tucker Texas Heritage, the mag goes in my R/F pocket in a small leather pocket carrier made by MikeB9550 on this board, and the phone goes my belt in a belt-clip holster.

I carry the extra mag in a Sparks PCH-M mag pouch, in my off-side pocket. It leaves room for a handkerchief or other small items without interfering with access to the mag or causing discomfort.

Your spare mag should never be carried loose in a pocket - especially with other items. You will loose rounds from the mag and find them rattling around in your pocket, eventually.

BTW - the PCH-M holds the mag in a position where it can be quickly grasped and removed every time, and it conceals easily. It's money well-spent!

Check it out. (http://www.miltsparks.com/)

Hedleys web site states: "Closed to all orders until further notice". That's too bad. Those are nice looking holsters.

You have a great looking collection.
