Day before yesterday, I bought this MK40, with night sights, brand new, for $499. I had seen it the day before that, but returned Thursday to make the purchase after checking on pricing elsewhere. The purchase was made at a local Sportsman's Warehouse. This particular MK40 was a display model, and they didn't have any more of them. Their current price is about $699, or there abouts. It was on display for some time, and had the old price on it still.....that's why the price was so good on a new MK40.
Originally, I was thinking about a PM9, but one without night sights was $599, and $699 with the night sights. Since I already have a K40 Kahr, and the magazines will interchange between the two, it wasn't hard for me to convince myself that this MK40 was the way for me to go. I did have concerns about all the bad press the Kahr polymer pistols have been getting from disappointed owners, as well.....so, for that reason, I was willing to give up about 7oz difference in weight for the reputation of reliability the all steel Kahrs have.
I intend for this to be a "pocket" gun and will be getting an appropriate leather holster for that purpose....and possibly get a Smart Carry rig for it, as well.
I've owned my K40 Kahr for about 7yrs now, and it's always been very reliable and accurate.....so I'm a long term Kahr fan. Buying another was an easy decision for me to make.

Although, I have other ccw options, I'm a great fan of small, stainless and thin, for this purpose. I expect these four will be my ccw staple, while the others I have will only be used occasionally:
