Has anyone had any experience with the LoneWolf LWD-229N drop in barrel to convert a G22 to 9mm?

$100 to be able to shoot 9mm out of the G22 would be a great deal if it works well.

Thanks for any info.

I have one for my G35 and it has worked as expected. Dan told me to clean the barrel; I didn’t and got three failures to extract in the first 100 rounds of WWB. Then I sprayed a little Remoil on the barrel and extractor and it has never failed since in several hundred subsequent rounds.

One thing to consider though is you are going to also need magazines. I ended up with 5 so my investment is closer to $200 so the payback is going to be longer.

But the barrel would also work in a G22 and I am thinking about one of those also and I don’t want to buy a 9mm gun just to save a couple of bucks when I go to indoor ranges that don’t allow reloads. Plus I don’t mind loosing the 9mm brass since I don’t reload it.

Yeah, at prices of 9mm compared to .40 around here being on the order of $5+ a box of 100(WWB) difference that would be paid off pretty quickly :)

Love my LoneWolf conversion barrels... for my G35 and G22.

Don't forget that if you are a *rich* man you can also get a .357Sig barrel... Barrel is cheap, ammo - not so - should have priced it before I bought the .357Sig barrel! (LOL)

Yah, I like Lone Wolf - Real Value, and a great shooter!

I have LWD 9mm barrels for my G22 and 27's. Both shoot as good as I can hold them. Price is great, too.

I have .357 Sig barrel for them also. Again great shooters. I handload so shooting the Sigs ain't so bad. I buy once fired brass which cost me approx. a penny apiece more than 9mm brass, bullets and primers cost the same. In other words about a buck a hundred more to shoot the Sig than the 9. ;)

Thanks for the replies.

This is exactly the info I was looking for sounds like this will be the way to go for shooting 9mm.

Yep, anyone one who owns a Glock in .40 S&W can't go wrong with a LWD 9 or .357 Sig barrel, IMHO. I prefer the LWD .40 S&W barrel to the OEM, also.
