Any idea on what a never fired NIB 686 Classic Hunter from 1989 w/non fluted cylinder would be worth?

I was looking at one at a local dealers last week and they were asking $500 for it. It was in 90%+ condition, and not sure if it came with the box or not.
Nice looking gun, just wish that it had been made in 4".

thanks..........I have a friend who bought it back in '89 and never took it out the box. Paperwork says they made 5000 of them. Now he wants something smaller so he's thinking os selling/trading it. It's 100% out the box clean.......maybe I'll post it on the Smith Forum.
