ar stock change question

How do you remove the stock, and will I need special tools to do so. I see this thing called a multi but I can't see paying 25-30 bucks for it if that is all I need it for and could get the job done another way.

Pick one up at the next gun show for $4.95-$5.95. You may need it for more than one time.

What kind of stock are you going to remove, A2 fixed/entry, collapsible CAR/M4...? You may need a screw driver, CAR wrench, or the other to remove castle nuts, similar to the CAR wrench. All should be less than $10. If its a collapsible, do you just want to change out the stock body? If so, no tools; you'll use the existing buffer tube.

It's a fixed stock a2 on a dpms carbine

A 5/8" wrench I think (maybe 1/2") and a screw driver and your good to go.
