I ordered a rifle length free float tube from Model 1 Sales and was disapointed to find that it didn't have a stud for a sling so I can mount a bipod on it. Can anybody recommend a brand that does have a stud on it?
My AR is set up for varmint hunting so I don't need any rails.

Drill and tap the tube and install a threaded sling stud. Just do not over tighten because it will strip out the aluminum threads easily.

Agreed.
I need to do that on a couple of my free floated AR's...

I'd considered drilling and tapping it, sounds like thats the way to go.

Did a little research and it looks like Harris makes an adapter for hollow fore ends.

I think I'm gonna go this route so I don't have to worry about stripping the threads after I tap it.
