View Full Version : ELCAN Specter
Hi all,
I'm looking hard at purchasing an ELCAN Specter optic for my M-4. Has anyone here used them? I'd like the pros/cons of this optic before plunking down $1600 for it. Thanks for any replies.

What do you plan on using it for?
A general purpose optic in the sandbox. I'm looking at the Specter and also the Short Dot with LaRue mount.

Havent' heard much on that particular Elcan, but Elcan makes some pretty robust sights.
The Short Dot has gotten rave reviews by some that have tried it.
For more relevant info.... www.lightfighter.net, sign up, post a "hi" in the intro post in Crusader Hall and fill out the bio part (they hate kids/wannabes etc and need to know you're "real") with some basic info.
Most of the guys there either have been, are there, are going there, or were somewhere else, and have a very good idea of some of the best of everything. Good guys on there (and some of them came over from here too, like RMTactical).
Thanks for the info. I've decided to make the purchase of the ELCAN Spectre and will post an impromptu T&E of it and my impressions.

I have not used a Specter but the only negative thing I have heard is that it has short eye relief on 4x. I too am looking hard at a shortdot.
