Checking my S&W Standard Catalog the Model 60 #'s do not match anything on record. Here is what I have: 1st series 401754 to 401792 2nd series (1969) has an "R" followed by the serial number these Model 60s are "+P" rated. 401754 - 401792 and 409802 - 410698 bright polish finish 4750001- 480000 bright finish colored hammer and triggers 490001 - 712250 satin finsish flash chromed trigger and hammers R56962 - R57239 Square butt 3" series (1972) Conrail models have a"BBF" or "BBZ" prefix in front of the serial # Kentuck Sate Police have a "AHR" prefix Ashland Police "ANB" prefix 1992 - switch to Uncle MIkes synthetic grips Thats all I have.... ar15ed 05-18-2007, 12:57 december '84. i probably wouldn't shoot a steady diet of +p in it. good luck, ed cocked@locked 05-24-2007, 14:19 Thanks alot guys  vBulletin® v3.7.3, Copyright ©2000-2010, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd. | ![]() |
