Where are you getting, and how much are you paying for ammo?

I got my gun at Rick's Gun Shop in Watonga. I paid $489 for the gun, $14 or $15 for a box of Speer Gold Dot 200gr hp, and $18 for a box of practice ammo. I think Bill's Outdoor Sports here in Enid is selling cci practice ammo for $19.99, and there was another brand (can't remeber which one) that was $21.99.

I was curious as to what if anything you guys had done to your glocks, and what you would recommend for me for my first handgun what was the best modification to make. A lot of people have suggested night sights to start with.

Night sights is a great start, I'm looking to deck out a 21SF in the near future with all the bells and whistles...

I went to Wal-Mart today to see if they could special order me some gap practice ammo. The genius at the counter told me that they could not because the gap round was not going to be produced anymore. I asked the guy where he heard this and he told me it is everywhere. I told him that I have done a lot of research on the internet and had not heard anything like that, to which he replied well they aren't really releasing the information yet. Like I said he was a genius. Anyway I was curious if anyone else had heard of the gap be discontinued.
Also, I was curious if I would decide to trade in my G37 for a G21 or G21sf what I could expect to get for it. It is practically brand new.

J.P. I had seen in another thread that you have your ccl. I was thinking of getting mine. Not necessarily to carry all the time but it would be nice to be able to have it in my truck on trips and such. I was curious how I go about getting started and if you would have any suggestions.

Thanks.

It isn't difficult to do at all.
You need to request the packet from the OSBI. You can email sda@osbi.state.ok.us or call 800-207-6724. Then you'll need to take the class (okgunsafety.com has a forum where people advertise the class often), get some passport photos taken, and go to the sheriff's office for finger prints. They will mail the packet in for you and call you when it they get it. You go pick it up, and you have your permit.

Thanks. I had heard that it takes 3 months to get the permit after you do all the classes and everything is that true.

By law the OSBI has 90 days to issue the permit once they get the packet, assuming that the finger prints are acceptable and you don't miss anything in the packet. Sometimes it takes a little less time, and sometimes it takes a little longer.

okwalker, what is H&H charging for the G17? I bought my G21SF at Big Boys Guns with a savings of 20.00 over H&H

Just bought a new G33. I had a G27, and switched the barrel to .357 Sig. Anyway, the gun was stolen last October. Since I had the original .40 barrel in my drawer, I decided to get the G33 so I could still switch out barrels. I reported the theft to the OKC police, with "very likely" suspects; they've done NOTHING. I guess my stolen weapon will have to be used in a mass murder or something before I get it back. I had about $900 in that gun--hard chrome, night sights, Caminolli thumb safety, the .357 barrel, installed a smooth trigger, etc. Sure miss it. I will more than likely dress my new G33 up the same way.
