View Full Version : Custom builder...
Looking for a recommendation on a custom builder who can put together a one-off AR that will "shoot", and stay together.
I've got a wild hair idea, and know that I cannot afford (in price or wait time) to approach, Wilson, Baer, etc. with it.
I know there are a lot of "independents" building rifles out there; heck, that's how everybody got their start. What I want to avoid is hooking up with a butcher, as opposed to a builder.
All suggestions appreciated.

Well I ordered from Del-Ton. Mine will be here Monday, so I really can't comment much, but I have heard nothing but rave reviews for them!
Took me a month to get it due to a backordered part though.

What "custom" features are you wanting?
Are you looking for a caliber other than 5.56mm?
I build all of my AR's myself using components from different vendors and mfg's. It really isnt that difficult if you use good parts.
That being said, here is a short list of custom builders that I have bought parts from.
Denny's Guns
Bravo Company
G&R Tactical
MSTN
ADCO
Noveske
AR15barrels.com
If you give us a better idea on what you want, we can steer you in the right direction.
MSTN and G&R Tactical build excellent rifles.
