SureGrip pistol plug problem

The plug that seals off my Ergo SureGrip isn't the best fit, in fact it keeps coming out or just doesn't seal at all and sits there...lop-sided.

Wondering what I can do about it?

I thought about shaving a bit off but I want to see what yall suggest first.

Also, am I the only one who doesn't care for the gapping piece for use on the trigger gaurd?

If it won't seal, it is because there is too much taken away from somewhere on the pistol grip. Shaving it will only make this problem worse.

Get a different pistol grip would be some people's answer, but I have a better solution. Buy the Otis pistol grip cleaning kit. It has a catch for the inner body piece (the one that holds all the stuff) and is an awesome kit. If you have a normal buttstock, it is still a good thing to have, because you could still use a broken shell extractor, a brush and a cleaning rod, not to mention some gun oil and solvent.
