View Full Version : Another ammo question
Someone gave me 120 rounds of that they told me was .223 ammo. It is on 10 round stripper clips, 2 stripper clips to a cardboard sleeve. Some of it is head-stamped "WCC 79", some if it is stamped "LC 78". It is a full metal jacket bullet. The primer is sliver/gray in color and it has no sealant around it. The back of the stripper clip says "A.L.S. ASSY" with a long number. Any ideas on what this is? I'm not shooting it until I find out more about it.

Reloads?
The brass is old 5.56 brass...

Since the primer is silver it's probably a reload.
Because of the mix of head stamps it doesn't even appear to possibly be Black Hills Blue Box ammo. It's probably some gunshow or home-brew reloads.
WCC and LC should be crimped at the primer when new. Recently I've come across WCC 9mm brass that was crimped.
You could pull the bullets and dump the powder then reuse the bullet and casing to reload your own recipe if you want. If you don't reload then you're wise to not shoot the ammo.
