Anyone planning on going to KAPS this Sunday? I'd like to go, but not 100% comfortable finding the place by myself. Anyone want to carpool?

I say we all get together at the waffel house at brooks road for a caravan like last month. 9:00 AM laeve by 9:15 Am should get us there in plenty of time per Doms suggestion tonight. I enjoyed last month with all of us shooting together and this time we can RO our own squad.

I'm there. NO RANGE NAZISES on our squad.

Maybe. Let me check my schedule. I would guess the Nazi will try and shoot with another squad but if he does ask "Just say no" or perhaps "HELL NO".

It was shot much better when I was tired on the second round. I get so hyped up that I can't shoot sometimes.
Leigh Ann shot well.
I wonder why they did not run the classifer, CM99-12, that they said they were going to have?

Because they ran CM03-04 "3-V" instead?

You 1911 neophyte. 1911's don't have trigger bars Dom.
I'm still suffering from heat fatigue.

No kidding, After spending the whole day in that heat you have to be slow cooked. I left at 1:30 and I felt wiped out even after a good nap.

That was the hardest part for me. I was down for the count for the rest of the night from heat fatigue.
Thanks for the good company and conversation, John. Disappointed I didn't get to keep my tip, though.
I heard from a lady out there last weekend, that the match I'm going to in a couple of weekends in NC is in the middle of a tobacco field with little to no shade. Yikes. Considering it's a 2 day shoot, I'm praying for clouds, for some relief, but of course, no rain. That would be worse. 2 days mucking around in the mud.

I had to take a nap and I was also out for the night.
I'll give you a tip next time my sweet.
Take an umbrella and a chair and plenty of water.
That was my MRS. "Bonnie"
Frank puts on a great show - I dubt you will even notice the weather the 2 days will go fast.
Shoot safe

Shoot safe Thanks. Really excited about it. First time to fly with my firearm, too. Giving myself lots of time to make sure I have it right with no snags.
I could have sworn she said her name was Patty, but my bad. You know how earplugs play funny tricks on your hearing. Tell Mrs. Bonnie to your Clyde that I enjoyed the conversation though we were not able to have a thorough one. Perhaps I'll run into her next month and give a report on how I did at the Carolina Cup.
You are correct, Patty is Bonnie to my Clyde (Wink, Wink). Hopefully she will come out next month.

Advice: Tell the counter person you are CHECKING a firearm, not CARRYING a firearm. Whole different procedure, needless to say.

H. Thanks for the tip. I'll try to remember.
Heck, since we're at it:
The counter folks don't really get that concerned, they've done it enough. All you do is fill out a little card with your personal info, and it goes inside the case. I think the big gotchas are:
1. Ammo separate from gun
2. Gun in locked case
3. Ammo in original boxes (they checked this the last time I went)
4. 11 pound limit on ammo
Those were the bits that they actually seemed to check when I flew a few months ago. Just follow the bag to TSA in case they need your key, and you're good to go.
H.
