does any one have any opinions on the Sevigny Competition sights, and how about the optic front that you can get with them. general feed back would help a great deal. thank you
I have that set-up on my G17. Fantastic sight. Very fast, and precise, especially long range shots. Only trouble is it dissapears against dark targets. Especially at nightime even with a Weapon light. I consider mine a daytime sight only. As such I use it as a trail gun. I don't think anything could work better.
Forgot to add....it was nearly impossible to mount the Sevigney rear. Had to take it to a gunsmith. He grinded and pounded for a while. Said it was the worst fit he ever saw. And My G17 is quite a bit looser than my G19 with other sights. So I know it wasn't my gun that had an unusually tight dovetail. Lucky for me it ended up being right on POI. Can't imagine having to adjust it. Or try to ever get it back off. I have no idea why it has a set screw.
I have them on my G34 with the FO front sight. I mostly use it for daytime shooting, not many matches at night. For dim light- (my local indoor range is a bit dark) they have been fine. I prefer the red FO over the green.
When I was trying to decide which ones I wanted, I called Matt at Custom Glock Racing. He was very helpful and answered all my questions since I had only seen pictures of them. I sent my slide to him and had it back in about a week. I really dig these sights.

I installed 3 sets this weekend. The secret is to file off the black on the rear base. That is enough then to pound them in. I used a hammer and a wooden dowell.

I have 5 sets of them. Excellent sight picture. Don't be too afraid about the installation of the rear sight, it is a tight fit I'll admit but I have not had to file any of them. I don't have a rear sight install tool, just a good vise and brass hammer/punch set is needed. They have always been perfect in terms of elevation, but I have had to adjust left/right on the rear sight with a few small taps if it doesn't shoot POI.
Great for my G35 stock racer. Slicks sights and excellent in full light.

They are great sights, fast and precise.
