G20 accuracy issue compared to G21 - any ideas?

Last night I was hitting COM and eye/head shots with fist covering groupings which is my goal at this time from about 7 yards using my G21 -.45 and firing Wolf 850 fps.

Then I switched to the G20 using DT match at 1,250 fps (just got the 10mm!).

Both glocks have 3.5# connectors, stock sights and stock recoil springs/rods.

Both are relatively new: with about 400 rounds on the G21 and 50 on the G20.

My accuracy was horrible - a few hits COM/eyes with most hits 3 - 6+ " to the right and left of the target.

I don't believe I was anticipating the hotter load either.

Is there anything common to the slower .45 round that I need to adjust for with the hot DT's?

The 1450 and 1600 DT loads are waiting in line :supergrin:

my 10mm all have been very accurate. I'm surprise a 45acp load at 569fps exist and even cycle the action.

You might want to deal back the 10mm load to a FBI-lite load and work your why up. The G21 and 20 in your comparison is on very opposite sides of the table.

What was I thinking when I said 569; you are right!

It is 850 fps! I'll test it a few more times to eliminate any operator error.

I guess I was anticipating that powerful round last night after all. I just returned from the range and wow what a better grouping -still not acceptable by Randy Cain's tactical standards but fewer hits outside COM! But I did put out each eye with a single shot to each!

Guess I'll just have to double up on my range time :) - soon to bring out the real hot DT.

Man sized steel targets @ 125 yards. G-20 with 1200 fps loads, hits 4 out of five times. No problem. .45 Acp @ 850 fps, hits 1 out of five.I have hit the same targets at 175 and 200 yards. The hits were at least two out of five. The others sure kicked up a lot of dirt around the target. G-20 rules.
