I'm excited.. I have Mossberg 500 pumps and a SPAS 12 but it's been years since I've bought a new shotgun.. anyone here own one of these?

And can anyone explain some shotgun choke terminology and what the use for the following chokes are?
I know what a cylinder bore and a full choke are, but what is an Invector choke tube system with:
Cylinder tube?
Improved cylinder tube?
Can I shoot my handloaded .66 caliber shotcup-sabot roundball slugs (AA Winchester shotcup) ?
Any specific loads to avoid with either choke tube? Thanks!

Nice! I just got a 18" SLP and let me tell you... it is beautiful. The fit and finish is excellent, it a real nice looking shotgun. It is light and handel well and feel fantastic when I shoulder it.
I'm sure will will love it.
The thought of a 22" SLP keep creeping into my head. The fact that I just got the 18" SLP and will have a TPS arriving soon make it hard to go for the 22 incher. Do I need three shotguns? Then again do I need more firearms? Well, of course I do. it is a collection after all. We'll see what happens after I return from my trip in a week and a half.
Congrats tell us how you like it....

Both look to be very nice guns, Rojas! The 18 inch seems to be better suited to urban home defense, the 22 inch seems to be better for open/tactical combat. I'm actually buying it because I'm about to build a very rural home and there are many real possibilities for the need of such a weapon to be readily on hand. Many times I'll be out there alone at night. I've already had trouble over the previous years..Sometimes I feel like I'm in a Louis Lamour movie (grin)
The 22 inch has completely different sights with a nice setup for an Eotech 552, which will be next. I have a Streamlight M3X light with an optional IR filter, so I can use NV goggles if needed. That with the right mount, a sidesaddle shell holder and I'm set
I like the 18 inch too.. wish I had an unlimited budget !
PS: I'll give a shooting report from the tall trees, ASAP

I recently got an EOTech 553 for my FS2000 (plan to add a magnifier to it in june or july). Give ebay seller warthogdefence a try. I got my 553 with a winning bid of $511 plus $10 shipping.
I'm thinking of getting a C-more red dot for my shotguns. I like there compactness over the EOTech for a shotgun. When I get an AR I'll put either an EOTech (also with a magnifier) or 4x iluminated optic. I think the latter will be more cost efective. EOtech magnifier combo will likely cost as much as the AR.
I think I'm going to try and pick up a PS90 and a FN hi-power then see about a 22" SLP. I have yet to shoot my 18" SLP, I was hoping to take it to the range before I went on my trip but I leave in two day and doubt I'll get around to it. it bee a long time since I've fired a shotgun, looking foward to it.

I've got the 18" and it is awesome. I just wish I could get a pistol grip stock for it. If it ever stops raining, I've got a bunch of water jugs already filled and the 00 buck packed! I have the larger version too (Winchester SX2) so the 22" pretty much splits the difference.

All I hear about these guns is good.. I'm jazzed. I get ammo and accessories wholesale (I'm an internet retailer of such..) I'm in a hurry so I loaded up on some various ammo at Big 5 for next week's shoot
Soon I'll get a few K of factory buckshot and get real cozy with this FN and some bowling pins. BTW I get Eotech wholesale as well since I sell 'em

Picked her up late last week and this thing is built like a lightweight tank. Perfect fit, finish and handling. Came with a hardcase and a cheapie heads-up sight (getting an Eotech 552, however) Now to find time to actually shoot it!

The Eotech 552 is a night vision compatible heads ups sight.. the military has approved and is using them. Perfect for CQC:
