State Man G35

Hey guys,
Just picked up the Warren Tactical 2 dot night sights from MLE Shooting Sports (+1 BTW)and figured I'd post a review and range report. Test pistol is a G35, 3.5 connector and polished internals. Came stock with the white outline sights but since I'm going to be carrying this pretty soon, I knew I needed night sights.
Here she is the day she came home:

Up until a few weeks ago I had pretty much decided that the only sights for me were the Heinie Slant Pro Straight Eights. Then I came across the Warren Tactical Night Sights and things got a little more complicated. The thing that bothered me about the Heinie's was the rear was more rectangular in shape than the Warren's which have a taper towards the top. The Warren's also have a U-shaped notch in the rear where the Heinie's are flat. Here's what I'm talking about.
The Heinie's Rear:

And the Warren's Rear (sorry it's blurry but you get the idea):

I figured the taper on the Warren's would allow me to find the front sight faster as the taper draws my eye towards the top center of the rear sight. I have fondled some of Bill Wilson's 1911's with their "Combat Pyramid" sights in the past and I really liked how fast they seemed. I elected to go with the 2 dot system. I have mostly carried 3 dot night sights and the problem I ran into was all the dots were the same size and color so it took waaay longer to find the front sight. The Warren 2 dot night sights have a large green tritium dot up front with a white surround. The rear is a small amber dot without any colored surround. Playing around with them the first night I had them was incredible. They are very fast, and there's no confusion as to which dot is the front sight: It's the big green one and you can't miss it. Some more pics:

On to the range:
Took a box of 50 reloads. using a 6 o'clock hold, POA equaled POI. fired 3 mags (45 rounds) without a hitch, and the holes went where I aimed 'em. Here's the remaining 5 rounds fired at ~7 yards, standing in an Isocoles stance (try not to laugh):

In conclusion, I am VERY pleased with these sights. They are well thought out, well constructed, and fast to the eyes - perfect for a combat pistol. Thanks for bearing with me if you read this far...and I hope this review was helpful.
