I heard mixed emotions about replacing the guide rod in a Glock. Anyone confirm any problems?
I have done so with LaserMax in a G21 & G19; no problems.
I have done so in a G21 .45 ACP : 10 mm conversion; no problem.
A friend has an aftermarket guide rod in a ten year old G20; no problem.

thanks I appreciate it
Only problem I've had with the Lasermax internal guiderod is that the recoil spring seems to wear out far too quickly: Like 1,000 rounds. And you can't use an aftermarket recoli spring....
Gordov...
We've had no such experience with LaserMax springs. From what I understand, Wolf supplies the springs for LaserMax, and both our LM units have thousands of rounds on their original springs.
I like to stock consumable parts. When I called LaserMax to order springs, they sent me two for the asking, no charge, just compliments.
To be honest, our two LaserMax sights are on original batteries, original battery caps, and original springs, from 11/05 and 02/06 purchases. We couldn't be more pleased with them.

I own 2 lasermax lasers, and they have been nothing but perfect to deal with. I had minor issues, and they took care of my problems quickly and w/o charge. A+ company for sure.
