View Full Version : Meijer in Columbus area will stop selling ammo
Went to Meijer on Cleveland Ave. today to buy some ammo and low and behold they have pulled most of it out. Sporting goods manager told me that in few months they will eventually stop selling ammo in all Meijer locations in Columbus, Dublin and Hilliard area. If true, that really sucks!
I wonder how much of it was stolen since alot of it just sits out?
Okay, so I check out my Indianapolis / Indy Meijer store.
They have a pretty good supply, really. And their prices on 9mm seemed decent enough. Like $9.99, and they had some rifle/shot that was tagged "REDUCED"...not all but some.
Unfortunately I did not see any .32 Auto!!! I just bought a P-32 and neither rural king nor Meijer has it. :(
Meijer even appears to have a 250 round 9mm box.
I think people need to shop Meijer more to keep them making money on ammo.
I was wondering what was going on at my local Meijer. I usually grocery shop there and swing by the ammo section to see if they've re-stocked their .40 - which they haven't for several months.
I've never seen anyone purchase ammo at Meijer.
The Meijer by me in Englewood, OH used to carry Winchester RAnger, but haven't seen it there for a year, all they carry is fmj.
In the 6.5 years working at Meijer I have seen maybe 100 boxes go out. Most were shotgun shells. Not enough to justify the space.
Meijer's prices on rifle and pistol ammo sucks and they rarely have anything I want or need.
Exactly... Even with an employee discount it was rarely worth buying. Only when 22 was on sale was it cheap.
