Well, it hasn't taken long for me to start modding my 06 CTS-V (I had originally planned to leave it stock...yeah right). I'm currently putting down 420rwhp/390rwtq with the following mods:

- Vengeance Racing Custom Camshaft
- Comp Springs/Pushrods
- ASP U/D Pulley
- Ported Throttle Body
- Lingenfelter CAI
- Kooks Long Tube Headers + Hi-flow Cats
- Corsa Cat-back
- Vengenace Racing tune

Just added the cam and headers last week. What a difference that made. No sneaking up on anyone anymore though. Here's a vid at idle:

And here's the dynograph:

Does somebody yell "STOP" at the very end? Some people just don't appreciate the sound of a strong well built V8.

LMAO, yeah that's my 10 y/o son who was filming. I think it got a little loud for him.

How does it handle? Much body roll?

Thanks. It actually handles really well (and I don't even have the performance suspension package). There is a little body roll, but I plan on adding some Hotchkis sway bars to help with that. The only real negative to this car is the weak rear diff, but I'm much more likely to have it on a road course than a dragstrip anyway.

It would be a good idea to strengthen up that rear end anyway, I just had a buddy lose his rearend in his V up at road america.

Sweet! There are some outrageous Vs out there for sure.

I just bought an '06 myself. I plan on leaving it stock. Well, maybe a shifter. ;) (Where have I heard that before)
Wish me luck!

Man, what a fun car.

Unfortunately there aren't many options out there to strengthen other than replacing it and then you're looking at spending well over $5k. I'll probably just drive mine and if (or rather when) it fails I'll go down that road.
