I have not fired one of these yet, but I have held them and took one down and checked it out. This is one of the best things S&W has done in the semi auto world since the Model 52! Ihave a feelign tese little guns will find their way into several agencies approved/issue handguns. I already know of a large department that uses the sub compact version in .40 for administrators.

I haven't seen any numbers recently but back in December, in S&W's Annual Report they stated that 106 Police Departments had adopted the M&P! I'm sure that number has gone up since then because I know of at least three large city departments have gone with the M&P since then.
