View Full Version : CPU, Chipset and Motherboard temperature readings?
GPU core temp and ambient temp okay? Too high? Screen shot from my video card FX5900.
How do I get the temp reading for my motherboard? CPU temp? Chipset temp?

Your video card te,p looks fine. To get CPU and motherboard chipset temps you must have a motherboard that allows these readings to shown. Most custom build motherboards will but most factory PC's like Dell, HP and Compact do not. Even if you add a program to read temps it won't be able to display them.
i think that maybe some of the high end gaming machines even from dell might have the temperatures on them.
Another option is to look into the bios, there might be a hardware monitor built in to that.
The other option is to attach aftermarket sensors.

Download and install the hardware monitoring utility from http://www.abit-usa.com/products/mb/utility.php?categories=1&model=80 to get whatever temp and fan values the board offers.
