Which color Hi-Vis fiber optic front sights are best for IDPA? The orange seem to be brighter and stand out more, but it seems that the green would stand out better against the cardboard targets. Anyone out there got any advice for me?

If the orange stands out better for you, go with it. You want the color that your eyes distinguish the best.

I personally like green, but it is strictly a matter of preference. Since they are so easy to change, swap them until a clear favorite emerges.
As night sights have been mostly green since their inception I would go with the Green fiber optics, green in poor or no light, incredibly bright in sunlight. Truglow? (spelling) on my Glocks are the first sight change type, I have made in over ten years.
In our lovely Florida sunshine they shine like three flash lights aimed at you. In your IDPA type scenario, the first target from the draw is not the big benefit, your punch draw puts that target on the end of your pistol, but in moving the Glock to the next target, your eyes are on it b/4 the gun is, all you do is keep looking at the target, swing your pistol into your vision, still looking at the target, fire the required amount of shots!
The sights are so bright they intrude on your peripheral vision so much that there is no need to focus on them, just insert them in between your eyes, and the target.
