500 "accessories"

i couldn't help it there it was the 500 looking so sad. i had to buy it and let it run. anyway im thinking about putting some kind of optics on it any suggestions? will an aimpoint hold up to the 50? magnified? i have no idea what to expect but i bought 2 boxes of 500 gr bullets for the weekend. im rambling i know but damn its only wed.

any info on optics would be greatly appreciated...E

There's one on EBAY for the 3" 500.


The 500s and 460s that I have been around haven't been that much harder on optics than 44s or 480s, the gun are so big and heavy and comped. I can remember anyone having an aimpoint on one so I can't comment on those for ya.

I have a Nikon 2X mounted on my 500.

Use quality mounts!

I mounted mine with Jack Weigands stainless steel mount and four Magnum aluminum rings.
