View Full Version : Thinking about replacing my Meps
I bought a G23 about a year ago that came w/ GNS (Meprolights). I kind of like them but I can't stand how small the gap is between the front and rear sight. I was thinking about buying a new set of night sights, but then it occurred to me that I could probably just replace the front sight w/ something thinner and it would solve my problem (and save me $). First of all does anyone know how wide the GNS front sight is? I would hate to get a new front sight and have it be the same width. Secondly, does anyone have any suggestions? I'm kind of leaning toward an Ameriglo .125" front night sight. Thanks for all your help.
When it's all said and done, you'll likely be better off just ordering a new set...
AmeriGlo is good stuff!

Really!? Why don't you think the Ameriglo front sight will work well w/ the Glock rear? I appreciate any an all input before I make the plunge.

You're right! I'd forgotten how "together" AmeriGlo's act is!
They have the Glock .125" front sight in heights ranging from .165 to .315"
Of course, the Glock sights are metric...
But I'm sure they can be successfully paired.

I'd be curious to know how this works out! :wavey:

P.S. I'm putting their Operator Sights on my next Glock! ;)
Thanks for the e-mail link. I'll definitely contact him to make sure I get the correct 'mate'. Good luck w/ the operator sights. If I did get a whole new set it would be the operators w/ the green front/yellow rear combo.
