Clyde,

Thanks for posting the map. I expect to be there at 0900 hours. I just had a wart burned off my trigger finger this morning. I'm not sure I'll be shooting, but want to meet some of our GT'ers at the match. If Bongo can make it, he may be bringing me 3K 147-gr 9mm Montana Gold bullets.

I will be there. I'll be wearing a tan 2001 NC State match T-shirt. See you on the range.

I'm not an IPSCer. What would happen if I just showed up? Would I be able to shoot in the match? Maybe I'll come just to meet Glock Talkers.

It's an open match. You may shoot it or watch it. Come on down.

Kewl. If it's gonna be motorcycle weather, I may just take the trip. Is there a revolver division? If not, I guess I'll bring my 1911. Are concealment draws from IWB holsters the norm, or do you have those fancy Safariland open-topped rigs?

Hope to see y'all there!

Clyde

It's Your call.
Revolvers are Welcome. One of our shooters always shots Revolver. (625 - most of the Time / AND he is Good)
IF you do bring a revolver bring lots of speedloaders :) There will be an assualt course (Run & Gun).
Lots of Safariland and Practical holsters - No Sholder, Cross draw or Small of the Back. General Rule strong Side

As a general rule we do not do Concealed draws at our IPSC match.

But if you show up the following Saturday we shoot a Defensive Pistol Match(IDPA Style). Which is more Revolver friendly and Requires Concealment most of the time.

Both matches are fun but each have a different style.

Hope to see you in the morning

Well, now that you mention it, next Saturday actually works a little better for me anyhow. Somehow I think I'd like the defensive course of fire much better. I will make plans to attend.

Thanks.

Danny or Clyde - What does the weather report say for you guys tomorrow? It sounds like it may get ugly according to the weather guys down here. I don't mind shooting in a bit of rain but they are making it sound like it could be tornado-like conditions.

Any weather updates would be greatly appreciated before I jump in the car for the 3 hour drive.

Thanks in advance.

Bongo,

If you have received my bullets, bring them along.

If you plan to turn off at Rocky Mount, it's rt 40 east exit, then left onto rt 122.

Danny - yes, I do have them and I'll bring them up.

Clyde - thanks for the link, it doesn't look bad. I saw the weather guy showing "tornado warnings" with boxes close to the area which had me concerned. I'll be out of the houes early but hopefully, the roads will be empty and I can make good time.

Just got back from the match...good fun. It was good to meet DannyR, Clyde, Toast and IPSC G34 and shoot with a good bunch of shooters.

Nice range and the map was spot on. It was good to shake the rust out since I hadn't shot a match for a few months.

I think that the match organizers did a nice job in keeping the match fun and competitive. It's a good one to catch if you can, check out Clyde's web page for the match dates.

I'm home from the match. It was great putting faces to some of the names on G/T. A match is a great place to meet other GT'ers. Word of Caution: Watch out for IPSC G34--that young man can shoot!

It was really great meeting Bongo after all these years of chatting on Glocktalk. IPSC G34 and his family were in attendence, as well as GT'ers Clyde and Toast.

I shot poorly, as usual, but had a great time, as usual. Toast will E-mail us the results as soon as they are calculated.

Bravo to Mark and his staff of helpers for a fine match.

Defensive Pistol next weekend at RRRC.

Well, a bit of spit and polish.

It's not much different than yours but I have the Lightning Strike trigger installed which reduces the overall travel/reset and a modified trigger housing which has a set screw in the front which allows me to adjust the forward travel of the trigger. I believe there is a Glock "smith" in Fayetteville that makes them for $40. I have it set so that the trigger safety just engages, right after trigger reset. You have to use the LS trigger in order to do this, the stock doesn't have enough "travel" to do it.

Otherwise...Wolff reduced power firing pin spring, LS lightened STEEL striker and the above, all nicely polished for smooth action.
